The Philadelphia Flyers are shockingly on a winning streak, and they have a solid chance of extending that streak to 4 tonight against the Montreal Canadians.
Cayden Primeau gets the nod tonight in net for Montreal, who will make his first start of the season. Montreal has suffered without starter Carey Price, who’s been out on injured reserve. An already offensively-challenged team bit another bullet when Cole Caufield was sidelined for the rest of the season after scoring 26 goals and 10 assists through 46 games. Despite this loss, Nick Suzuki has found his game as of late, racking up 10 points over his last 5 games played. Montreal will be looking to extend their back-to-back wins against Columbus, and then Buffalo last night to a 3-game winning streak.
The Flyers find themselves in new territory with fans over the last week. After a winning streak, and Dave Scott officially stepping down, fans had put their stakes down for a minute to enjoy themselves some hockey. If you were lucky enough to see past your bloody rage, you would have caught Tyson Foerster’s impressive run, scoring 7 points in his last 5 games up with the club. Now that he is gone, Flyers are back to looking for new ways of scoring goals (looking at you, Owen Tippett).
Montreal slightly edges the Flyers in goals for per game at 2.84 compared to the Flyers’ 2.68. Philadelphia does, however, have the edge in goals against with 3.26, compared to Montreal’s 3.66, which is a massive difference.

– Montreal leads the season series 2-0 after they gave it to the Flyers in a 5-2 beat down on February 24th and registered a late-game comeback to win 4-3 on November 19th.
– Tyson Foerster shot at 20% while up with the big club. Some of this was due to luck, and the other is his incredible ability to accurately put the puck where he wants to put it.
