After a dominant season in the QMJHL, forward Alexis Gendron has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers, per Flyers general manager Daniel Brière.

Gendron was a 7th round pick (220th overall) and the final player selected by the Flyers in the 2022 NHL Draft. The pick was originally acquired from Carolina in the Tony DeAngelo trade.
Gendron is coming off a stellar campaign in the QMJHL with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and Gatineau Olympiques. He registered 55 goals and 26 assists for 81 points in just 63 games this season, which included a remarkable run of 33 goals in 34 games with Gatineau.
Gendron also tacked on 14 goals and 5 assists for 19 points in 13 playoff games for the Olympiques before they bowed out to the eventual league-champion Quebec Remparts in the semifinals.
He certainly has a knack for putting the puck in the net with a lethal shot and a killer offensive IQ, and now he’ll have a chance to showcase that at the professional level very soon.
Gendron will spend this coming season back in the QMJHL and will more than likely begin his career professionally in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms afterwards, but if he can produce as much there as he has recently, he could definitely find himself in Philadelphia pretty quickly.
