Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny has been named to the 2024 NHL All-Star Game. 2024’s All-Star festivities will be taking place from February 1st to February 3rd in Toronto.
This is Konecny’s second time being named to an All-Star Game. He first appeared in the 2020 edition of the contest in St. Louis.
Konecny racked up 3 assists in his last All-Star outing, tied for the most on the Metropolitan roster with then-Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones in a 9-5 loss to the Atlantic Division All-Stars.
The NHL announced the first 32 All-Stars on Thursday night – one representative from every franchise.
The eighth-year Flyer is enjoying a career season, potting 18 goals and 15 assists for 33 points in 37 games entering Thursday. He is up to 20 at the time of this writing after he scored against Columbus on Thursday night, and the London, Ontario native is on pace to score 41 goals this season, which would shatter his career-high in goals (33) that was set last year.
The 26-year-old forward has moved into 21st in franchise history in goals and 24th in points so far this season, and he should easily move into the top 20 in both ranks should he remain healthy.
Konecny currently leads the Flyers in goals and points, with only Travis Sanheim (21) edging him in assists. League-wide, Konecny has moved into 10th in the NHL in goals at the time of this writing and has passed Colorado’s Valeri Nichushkin and Mikko Rantanen, New York’s Chris Kreider, Toronto’s William Nylander, and Florida’s Carter Verhaeghe who have 19 tallies each, respectively.
To fill the remaining roster spots, the 2024 NHL All-Star Fan Vote is open now through January 11th. Voting can be found at NHL.com/vote, via X (formerly Twitter) and the NHL App.
