Mann was a seventh-round pick (199th overall) by the Flyers in the 2023 NHL Draft, coming in with a 6’6”, 227-pound frame.
The 19-year-old right-handed blueliner spent the 2023-24 campaign with the QMJHL’s Saint John Sea Dogs, racking up 6 goals and 7 assists for 13 points to accompany 68 penalty minutes in 42 games. His goal, point, and penalty minute totals were new career-highs and he led all Sea Dogs defensemen in goals.
Mann previously played in the QMJHL for the Chicoutimi Saguenéens for three seasons as well before being traded to Saint John for two draft picks. The Sackville, New Brunswick native wraps up his major junior career with 9 goals, 21 assists, 30 points, and 184 penalty minutes in 170 games.
Mann is obviously a larger player and he likes to use his body to his advantage. He is very physical and after an improved season in the QMJHL, he may have some untapped potential both offensively and defensively.
Manner slips one home.
