The Philadelphia Flyers have re-signed defenseman Egor Zamula to a two-year contract worth $3.4 million ($1.7M AAV), per Flyers general manager Daniel Brière.

Zamula was a restricted free agent and was qualified by the Flyers alongside forward Bobby Brink on June 30th.

The 24-year-old blueliner recorded 5 goals and 19 assists for 24 points in 66 games with the Flyers in 2023-24. Zamula led the club’s defensemen in power play goals (2) and power play assists (7) and was solid on both ends of the ice while averaging 16:03 of ice time per game.

Zamula scored his first NHL goal in Philadelphia’s home opener on October 17th, 2023 against the Vancouver Canucks. His goal would stand as the game-winner in a 2-0 shutout victory.

Zamula recorded the first multi-goal game of his career on January 21st against the Ottawa Senators in an eventual 5-3 loss.

He will become a restricted free agent again at the end of the contract, which runs through 2026.
