Patrick Brown Activated Off Injured Reserve, Max Willman Loaned to Lehigh Valley

The Philadelphia Flyers activated forward Patrick Brown from injured reserve on Sunday afternoon, and sent Max Willman to the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms in a corresponding move. Brown had missed the previous seven games with a thumb injury that he suffered on November 16th against the Calgary Flames.

Brown, a waiver claim by the Flyers from the Vegas Golden Knights on October 11th, currently has one assist in six games with Philadelphia. He is slated to play on the Flyers’ fourth line tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He will be centering Connor Bunnaman and Oskar Lindblom in the contest.

Willman, who has appeared in seven games for Philadelphia this year, was sent to the Phantoms to make room for Brown. The 26 year-old winger has no points with the Flyers in a few stints with the team since making his NHL debut on October 15th against the Vancouver Canucks. Willman currently has eight goals and two assists in 13 games for the Phantoms, with his goal total leading all Phantoms. His 10 points are good for a tie for third among Lehigh Valley players alongside Gerry Mayhew.

In other injury news, forward Derick Brassard was placed on injured reserve yesterday per CapFriendly, and forward Nate Thompson underwent shoulder surgery on November 30th and is out indefinitely.
