Gaucher is currently playing for the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The 23-year-old has recorded 10 goals, 5 assists, 8 penalty minutes, and is -4 in 23 games with the Phantoms this season. His 10 goals currently lead the team.
Gaucher enjoyed a solid Rookie Camp with the Flyers in September and even appeared in a few preseason games with Philadelphia, keeping himself on the team’s radar.
Gaucher began his professional career in 2022-23 with the Flyers’ ECHL affiliate, the Reading Royals, after parts of five seasons in the QMJHL with the Val d’Or Foreurs and Baie-Comeau Drakkar; the latter of whom he served as team captain for in 2021-22. He racked up 22 goals and 39 assists for 61 points in 73 games as a rookie in Reading, ranking fourth on the team in goals, second in assists, and third in points. He also managed to score 6 goals and 6 assists in 12 games in the Royals’ Kelly Cup Playoffs run.
The Longueuil, Québec native made his first foray into the AHL last season with the Phantoms, appearing in 59 games and potting 8 goals and 8 assists for 16 points. He made a large impact in the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs as well, scoring the overtime winner in Game 2 of the First Round to help the Phantoms advance and eliminate the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Gaucher entered this season on an AHL contract before signing his ELC, meaning he is now eligible to be recalled by the Flyers should they need him.
