(Heather Cattai/Heather Barry Images, LLC)

Earlier Thursday, the NHL announced their nationally televised schedule with a slew of games that will be featured on ESPN, TNT, and ABC, which includes special days like Opening Night, Frozen Frenzy – where all 32 teams play at different start times – as well as the Winter Classic, among others. Teams followed suit shortly after and the Philadelphia Flyers announced they will be featured nationally 14 times during the 2024-25 season – 8th-most in the NHL.

The Flyers are set to open up their 2024-25 regular season campaign on the road in Western Canada where Matvei Michkov is expected to make his NHL debut with matchups against the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, and the Edmonton Oilers between the 11th and the 15th of October before a road game in Seattle to complete the trip. They return to the confines of the Wells Fargo Center on the 19th to finish off their season series with the Canucks before welcoming the Washington Capitals on the 22nd.

On a national scale, the Flyers will be seen facing off against some of the best that the NHL has to offer in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl from the Edmonton Oilers on the 15th of October, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner from the Toronto Maple Leafs on the 7th of January, and Mika Zibanejad and Artemi Panarin from the New York Rangers on the 9th of April. Surprisingly, there won’t be a nationally televised matchup between the Flyers and their cross-state rivals in the Pittsburgh Penguins.
