This is Lycksell’s first time being named an AHL All-Star.
Lycksell has appeared in 25 games for the Phantoms this season, recording 9 goals and 15 assists for 24 points. Despite not appearing in a game for Lehigh Valley since December 20th, Lycksell is still tied for the team lead in points and is third in goals and second in assists. The 2017 6th-round pick also leads the club and the AHL in overtime goals with 3, respectively. Lycksell reached the 100-point plateau on December 4th against Rockford, posting an assist on a Helge Grans goal early in the third period of a 7-3 home loss to the IceHogs.
The 25-year-old is currently with the Flyers after being recalled on December 27th. He appeared in one NHL game this season on a prior recall on December 21st against Columbus, scoring a goal that was soon disallowed on an offside challenge in an eventual 4-3 overtime win for Philadelphia.
In 116 career AHL games, all with the Phantoms, Lycksell has racked up 42 goals and 66 assists for 108 points. The Oskarshamn, Sweden native has also appeared in 27 career NHL games with the Flyers, notching 1 goal and 5 assists.
The 2025 AHL All-Star Classic will take place at Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California, home of the Coachella Valley Firebirds. The AHL All-Star Skills Competition takes place on February 2nd and the AHL All-Star Challenge will follow on February 3rd.
