The Philadelphia Flyers have officially announced the roster and subsequent schedule for their Rookie Camp that is set to take place on the 12th of September at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, New Jersey.
Rookie Camp will begin tomorrow and is going to extend to the 17th of September with 4 days scheduled for practices while the other 2 days will feature games against the New York Rangers as part of the Rookie Series.
2024 Flyers Rookie Camp Schedule:
Thursday, September 12th
Practice – 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Friday, September 13th
Morning Skate: 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Game vs. New York Rangers in Allentown: 7:05 p.m.
Saturday, September 14th
Game vs. New York Rangers in Allentown: 5:05 p.m.
Sunday, September 15th
Practice: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Monday, September 16th
Practice: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday, September 17th
Practice: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The Flyers have also noted that both games will take centre stage at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania, the home arena for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and that Friday’s morning skate will take place at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, New Jersey.
As for the roster, there are several names to look out for but perhaps none more than Matvei Michkov. The former 7th overall pick from the 2023 NHL Entry Draft has arrived 2 years sooner than initially anticipated after reaching terms for a contract termination with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL, earlier in the summer.
The London Knights’ duo of Oliver Bonk and Denver Barkey will be present as will 2024 first round pick, Jett Luchanko, former NCAA champion Massimo Rizzo, and NHL-hopeful Emil Andrae among many others. Alexei Kolosov is omitted from this list after he reportedly let the Flyers know he would not be reporting and has been practicing in Minsk in hopes of landing a loan from the big club.
