Not only will this be the first time these two clubs face each other this season. It will be the first time Matvei Michkov and Connor Bedard go head-to-head in the NHL. The Flyers will visit the Blackhawks on March 23rd.
Last week, Philadelphia earned a three-game win streak versus the San Jose Sharks, the Ottawa Senators, and the Buffalo Sabres.
Since then, the Flyers struggled, losing twice versus the Colorado Avalanche and the Carolina Hurricanes. Philadelphia looks to avoid a three-game losing streak.
Now, that is ‘Flyers Hockey.’

Philadelphia Flyers
Alexei Kolosov will start versus the Blackhawks. He is on the hunt for his first NHL win. In three starts, Kolosov is 0-3-0 with an 86.2%SV and a 4.0GAA.
Ivan Fedotov will back up Kolosov. Sam Ersson (lower body) is still considered day-to-day.
Cam York will return after missing 13 games. York was injured on a play along the boards in the third period against the Washington Capitals on October 23rd. Travis Sanheim took on an irregular uptick in ice time since York exited the lineup.
Morgan Frost returns to the lineup. Frost struggled to get going in the first quarter of the season. Frost (1G, 5A) in 16GP has not produced at an acceptable rate, but John Tortorella hopes his forwards can find their engines.
Joel Farabee had his challenges in point production, too. Farabee (3G, 5A) went on two three-game point streaks this season but has not been consistent since the loss to the Boston Bruins. Tyson Foerster (4G, 1A), who already experienced a healthy scratch from Tortorella, needs to find his gear. The ‘F-Troop’ needs to seize their opportunity starting today at the Wells Fargo Center versus Chicago.
Scoring first is massive for the Flyers. When Philadelphia scores first, they win 60% of their games, earning a point in 80%. When trailing, they pull off the comeback 20% of the time.
Emil Andrae (mid-body) and Jamie Drysdale (upper body) all remain on injured reserve but are considered day-to-day.
Nicolas Deslauriers, Egor Zamula, and Erik Johnson are healthy scratches. Anthony Richard returned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
