Pelle Lindbergh was the Flyers’ biggest loss of all time. He was an elite goaltender and was coming off a Vezina winning season. If Pelle doesn’t die, the Flyers could’ve traded Ron Hextall for a major haul, perhaps another defenseman to go with Mark Howe and another forward to replace Tim Kerr’s production. Hextall would not have been hired by the Flyers in 2014 and he would not have made franchise debilitating moves such as taking Nolan Patrick over Cale Makar, hiring and refusing to move on from Dave Hakstol, and getting almost zero help for Claude Giroux during his prime years.
Speaking of Lindbergh, who do you think are the Flyers’ Mt. Rushmore of career ending/altering injuries? Easily Lindbergh, Eric Lindros, and Chris Pronger. Barry Ashbee had a career ending eye injury and was a staple of the Flyers’ defense during the first Flyers’ Stanley Cup winning year. If Tim Kerr was able to stay fully healthy during the Cup runs in 1985 and more likely 1987 perhaps the Flyers pull off the unlikely and beat Edmonton. One of the Flyers top prospects in the 90s was Yanick Dupre and he passed away after a couple battles with cancer. Dmitri Tertyshny had a solid rookie year in 1999 in a time where the Flyers were not drafting or developing NHL defensemen and died from a tragic boating accident. The pain never ends.
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES
The Eagles had a successful season even if it ended in a loss. Jalen Hurts did not have a good playoff debut, but he had a better game than Kyler Murray and Mac Jones. The Eagles are uniquely set up to compete over the next couple years due to their Quarterback not taking up a significant chunk of the salary cap. Howie Roseman should draft the three best non-Pac 12 players in the first round and make this defensive unit a dynamo. They need a pass rusher, linebacker, corner opposite Darius Slay and safety. #draftszn
Speaking about the Eagles, if Howie would’ve taken Justin Jefferson over Jalen Reagor and D.K. Metcalf over J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, do the Eagles still trade up and take DeVonta Smith? Probably not. That means the Giants stay put and do not trade down and most likely take Smith. Who do the Eagles take? Maybe Defensive Rookie of the Year Micah Parsons?

Rename the Wells Fargo Center, the Wells Fargo Spectrum. Bring it back. We need to revive the past. The Flyers organization got away from what they did best. Honor the players and the people who made it great.

COWBOYS TRASH FIASCO
I hope the national media buries Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy for crediting fans with throwing trash at the referees of the game. Garbage franchise supporting garbage people. McCarthy and Dak were the authors of their own fate. Who calls a QB sneak with no timeouts with 14 seconds left in the game and makes no effort to get out of bounds?
