Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny will be skating for Team MacKinnon at Saturday’s NHL All-Star Game in Toronto (3:00pm ET, ABC/ESPN/ESPN2).
Konecny was drafted on the opening night of All-Star festivities by Avalanche forward and team captain Nathan MacKinnon, Avalanche defenseman and team alternate captain Cale Makar, and multi-platinum recording artist and celebrity captain Tate McRae.
This is Konecny’s second appearance at the NHL All-Star Game and his first since 2020 in St. Louis.
Konecny will join MacKinnon, Makar, Penguins forward Sidney Crosby, Capitals forward Tom Wilson, Hurricanes forward Sebastian Aho, Kraken forward Oliver Bjorkstrand, Canucks forward Elias Lindholm, Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov, Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman, and Avalanche goaltender Alexandar Georgiev for Saturday’s event.
Konecny is in the middle of a stellar season for the Flyers, notching 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points in 50 games, respectively. He leads all Flyers in goals and points and also leads the team in shorthanded goals (5). Konecny’s shorthanded goals total is also tied for the league lead with Islanders forward Simon Holmström.
All-Star festivities resume on Friday with the NHL All-Star Skills Competition (7:00pm ET) before Saturday’s 68th edition of the NHL All-Star Game.
